Message from General Director of the SEG


The era of change to SEG is already materializing in workplace behavior, which augurs a better future for the Company.


Thus we are more than ever committed alongside His Excellency the President of the Republic Professor Alpha Condé to win together the bet of change in Guinea.


In commercial terms, invoiced volumes increased from 41,885,104m3 in 2010 to 42,397,970m3 in 2011.


Financially, revenues excluding taxes rose from 120,728,651,180 GNF in 2010 to 137,990,066,991 GNF in 2011.


Technically, production has increased from 57,934,846 m3 in 2010 to 58,636,587 m3 in 2011.


Not to mention that important work on securing and improving the drinking water supply in Conakry and inside cities have been made in 2011 on equity through the financial support of the Government of the Republic and its external partners including among others the ICRC, BADEA, IDB, Moroccan Cooperation and French Cooperation.




  • The finalization of the preparation and the start of the work on the 4th Water Project will solve the persistent deficit in production and meet the drinking water needs of the population of the capital until 2030
  • The completion in the course of first quarter of 2012 of the project of 12 industrial drilling at the foot of Mount Kakoulima which will provide additional production 12,000 m3 per day
  • The preparation and the start of work of the project to strengthen the production and distribution of drinking water in Conakry on already obtained financing from the IDB


As regards the cities of the inside

  • The finalization of the drinking water supply works in the cities of Boke and Télimélé on funding from BADEA and the Government of Guinea
  • Strengthening the production of drinking water from the town of Pita through the construction and connection of two new industrial drilling on joint funding ICRC-SEG
  • The modernization of water treatment facilities of Dalaba and Dabola
  • The rehabilitation of Kissidougou drinking water production facilities on funding from the ICRC
  • Improving the water intake on the river Milo to ensure a continuous production of drinking water in Kankan
  • Strengthening Siguiri's production of drinking water through the construction of a raw water intake on the river Tinkisso
